​Otherworld Creatures

Otherworld Creatures is a small business set up in 2013 by Meriel Green, creature effects artist, artisan crafter and dragonologist. (One of these may be a lie.)

 

 

 

I graduated from University of Wales Trinity St David with a BA (Hons) in 3D Computer Animation, specializing in creature effects, and wrote my dissertation 'Genesis of the Impossible' on the application of real-world physiology to the use of creature effects work.

 

From there I began to combine my two passions, that of live performance, and that of creature effects, into a single entity. It truly is the best job in the world, and nothing makes me happier than to be up in my workshop tinkering away on something interesting. I adore the theatre and love working in it, but I'm also a keen LARPer and enjoy subjecting my favourite system to some of my creations from time to time.
