Otherworld Creatures

Terms of Service

By accepting a commission slot you agree to these terms and agree that you have read and understand all of the terms of service listed here.

  • When you receive your quote you will be given a full quote and a quote for the deposit that ranges for 30% to 50% of the order’s full total. This does not necessarily have to be paid all in one payment, a plan can be worked out, however construction will not be started until deposit is paid.

  • Once construction starts, deposit is non-refundable. It will be used to pay for material costs and so cannot be given back.

  • Otherworld Creatures cannot make any pieces based on a copyrighted character without permission from the owner of the character, this both applies to licenced characters belonging to companies, and characters belonging to other individuals.  When you present your references you are confirming that the character you’re presenting is either belonging to you, or being used with permission from the copyright holder.

  • You are responsible for covering any postage costs/tax/customs fees relating to shipping the commission items. Proof of shipping will be shown to you when it is sent.

  • You are able to request updates and WIP photographs at any time, however please allow a few days for a full update as things may be busy.

  • You are at liberty to cancel a commission at any time. However keep in mind that if construction has commenced the deposit shall not be refundable to you.  If you end the commission and accept a refund after construction, the goods will be altered to reflect a different character, and auctioned.

  • I am at liberty to decline a commission if I feel I cannot undertake it to a satisfactory level of quality, if the commission queue is full, if the subject matter is not something I am able to recreate.

  • Any commissioners must be over eighteen years of age. Those under eighteen years need to commission through a parent or guardian who agrees to the terms of service.

  • Otherworld Creatures commission items are not toys, and should not be treated as such or given to small children as they have small parts, are breakable, and do not conform to the same standards that a toy would.

Liability

  • Otherworld Creatures will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained whilst wearing an Otherworld Creatures costume item. Customers are encouraged to use their best judgement and to not overexert themselves in costume and be conscious of heat and the potentially fragile components within some items when using them.  Whilst items are built with durability in mind, they are not stunt items and cannot withstand heavy damage.

  • Any Live Action Role Play items are built for usage in combat with, at most, latex weaponry or boffers. Do not attempt to use any Otherworld Creatures items as protection in full combat games.
